Why this firm exists
Most technology consultancies do not practise what they preach. They will sell you AI capability / innovation that they do not use in their own systems. They talk about how their people are what sets them apart, whilst at the same time they're filling your engagements with people they essentially manage as commoditised resources. The people who pitch you are not the people who deliver.
The market also splits. Firms with strong engineering have a shallow understanding of your business. Firms who understand your business have mediocre engineering. You pay for one and you need both.
And almost all of it is sold on launch day. What happens in month eight, when the model has been replaced, the data has drifted and the person who championed it has left, is somebody else's problem. Usually yours.
frac exists to be the firm I could never hire.
We eat our own dog food
frac does not talk about agentic AI. It runs on it.
How proposals get written, how engagements get captured, how decisions get logged: all of it runs on AI systems we have built and maintain. We carry their uptime and their inference bill. When something drifts we find out the way we are proposing you find out, from a test that fails rather than from a client who is annoyed.
That is the reason we know which parts of this are hard, which parts are hype, and which parts break at three in the morning.
Examples of the work that Frac Consulting can do for you includes:
- Upskilling engineering teams on best practice agentic coding all the way from simple pragmatic steps to complex autonomous systems (software factories)
- Security remediation work as the models develop more sophisticated capabilities (e.g. Mythos)
- Custom MCP servers / tools
- Taking the spreadsheet that runs your business and quickly turning it into a micro-tool with a much better user experience
- Enablement of AI in your product beyond a chat interface jammed to the side
- AI powered rich text editing experiences (see here for an example)
- Dynamic content generation and personalization
- Dynamic user experiences based on AI responses
Assumptions
We are making the following assumptions about your organisation,
With these agreed, we map your organisation's workflows and opportunities to pinpoint where AI can remove the manual, repetitive effort.

LinkedInPreviously Principal Consultant at Readify (acquired by Telstra). CTO and CIO at MatchBox Exchange in container logistics. Senior technology leadership across several startups that went the distance, including Brandcrush. I led the architecture review for the next generation platform at a 700 person fintech, and I built the pilot for a distributed computing platform to process billions of dollars of equity and wealth.
For the last two years I have been building AI systems in production. Complex systems, more than just a chat interface connected to an MCP server - RAG, chunking, knowledge graphs, retrieval / ranking algorithms, implicit context, and manipulating rich text editor experiences. I've also used all manner of tools aimed at increasing the productivity of software engineers and figured out how to get the best of these tools for a force multiplier improvement. Given my prior consulting and executive experience, I'm confident I have the skills to assist other teams that haven't yet realised these gains.
When a build needs more hands than mine, I bring in engineers I have worked alongside for years, at the top of the market.
